HEADSHIP

Towards Headship is a professional development programme for those who are in a senior leadership role and aspire to be a Headteacher. It enables you to develop the skills required.

The programme is designed to help participants develop the skills required to access NPQH and become a Trainee Head.

Self Audit to highlight strengths and areas for development
Managing Self
Personal Motivation and Moral Purpose
Understanding Headship
Implementing a Strategy
Managing the School
Leading Learning
Lead the implementation of an integrated school project

Develop coaching skills for performance and distributed leadership
Understand yourself and the impact you have on others
How to communicate a strategic vision to a range of stakeholders
Analytical ability to project plan effectively
Understand distributed leadership
Verbal communication and presentation

1.5 days + 4 workshop sessions spread over 6-12 months.

Also half a day to visit a partner organisation and half a day to host a visit from another participant.
