WORKSHOPS

Workshop Booking Form
Responsive Leadership Workshops are one day workshops designed to address a particular issue or agenda topic facing leaders in schools and children's services.

Please click a workshop title below to view more information on that workshop.

Please see booking form for current dates and venues.

This workshop seeks to raise awareness and develop strategies to meet the expectations for the 21st Century School by

  • Developing awareness of wider opportunities to work with the community
  • Analysing the locality as a community
  • Deepening understanding of how settings can contribute to community cohesion
  • Reviewing current approaches
One view of Community Cohesion is:

Community cohesion is what must happen in all communities to enable different groups of people to get on well together. A key contributor to community cohesion is integration which is what must happen to enable new residents and existing residents to adjust to one another.

And the government white paper expects schools to:

  • Provide an excellent, personalised education
  • Ensure that each child and young person achieves their full potential, and
  • Contribute actively to all aspects of pupils’ lives, ensuring pupil well-being across all the ECM outcomes.

This workshop will offer opportunities to develop strategies, build meaningful links with the community, explore opportunities and begin to develop a plan for future action. A key speaker from the wider workforce will describe their approach to this exciting and challenging agenda.

This workshop will support you to lead the management of change and develop a greater understanding of the impact of the culture within your setting.

You will

  • Explore the nature of organizational culture
  • Be offered a variety of ways to analyse how change impacts on people and organizations
  • Consider a series of models of organizational change
  • Develop strategies to lead and support change management

The TDA views Change as:-

Something that will happen whether we encourage it or not. To direct it and ensure it is a positive progress, it is vital to have a vision, a strategy and a proven, structured and adaptable process for managing change.

Change management is part of the life of an organization, this workshop will enable you to make more effective decisions, develop and implement new initiatives and understand and support the process.

This workshop will offer opportunities to develop strategies, explore models of change management and begin to develop a plan for future action.
