A Partner of Brigshaw Trust
About
Carnegie Leaders in Learning Partnership are proud to be a partner in The Brigshaw Cooperative Trust, a group of seven primary schools, a high school and a Children’s centre, serving the communities of Kippax, Allerton Bywater, Swillington, Great Preston and Ledston in Outer East Leeds. Other partners include the Co-operative Group, Leeds City Council, Leeds City College and CapeUK. The Trust, which was formed in April 2010, builds on the successful collaboration of The Brigshaw Federation. The members of the shared ‘Trust’ have come together to strengthen and sustain partnership working and to help achieve better outcomes for children, young people and families both in the schools and across the wider community.
Aims of the trust
- Ensuring consistently high expectations across all of our schools among pupils, parents, carers and staff.
- Enabling all pupils to access high quality teaching and learning experiences by sharing ‘best practice’, resources and staff within the partnership, and developing creative and transformational approaches to help us to raise standards more consistently across our schools.
- Working more effectively with parents, carers and the wider community to promote health and well-being, develop a more aspirational culture, and develop a more integrated approach with other partners working with children and communities, such as health, social care, sport and leisure.
- Working with external partners to help us be even more imaginative and creative in providing opportunities for family and community learning and wider cultural experiences.
- Strengthening our commitment to a global perspective based on principles of co-operative values, respect, social justice, fair trade and democracy.
